Jet has announced that a further 12 sites have joined its network. The latest wins are Ormlie Filling Station in Thurso, Brierley Service Station in Gloucestershire, an MRH site in Grimsby and nine sites in the north east owned by KSC Worldwide.

Jet has secured a multi-million litre volume deal with KSC Worldwide, which is ranked 35 in the Forecourt Trader Top 50 Indies, for its nine Teesside and County Durham sites.

Chirayu Patel, finance director at KSC, commented: “We’d been with our previous fuel supplier for five years and felt it was time to enhance and refresh our sites. Although we spoke to three major brands, Jet offered us a competitive deal and is a well-known, trusted local brand with around 25% market share in our area.

“This, combined with the refinery down the coast offering a secure and flexible supply gave us confidence that Jet is the right choice for us. Our sites have been quickly and expertly rebranded and we’re predicting a very successful future with Jet.”

Carl Smaller, Jet’s territory manager Immingham North & East, added: “Securing KSC’s nine sites in the north east further demonstrates our commitment to the region. The sites are a great mixture of smaller community-based and larger high volume traffic sites on main routes. We’re very much looking forward to a long and prosperous relationship with KSC and to further expanding our brand in this key region.”

Jet has also secured its most northerly Scottish site, Ormlie Filling Station in Thurso. This site is owned by Simpson Oils, one of the largest fuel distributors in the far north of Scotland and a longstanding wholesale customer of Phillips 66.

Hugh Simpson, director of Simpson Oils, explained why he chose Jet: “We knew we had to choose a really strong fuel brand to compete with the two other forecourts in Thurso. With its competitive pricing, Jet was simply the best solution for our local customer base.

“As a Phillips 66 wholesale distributor for over six years, choosing Jet as our fuel brand also feels like a natural progression. We know the company very well and have an excellent working relationship. Security of supply was also a key factor in our decision-making process.”

Jet in Scotland also recently resigned a contract with Springburn Service Station in Glasgow – a 48-nozzle site that is the largest in Jet’s Scottish network. Co-operative Food also chose Jet following a £5m programme of investment to overhaul its Aberfeldy filling station and supermarket. So far this year, four new Jet sites have joined Jet’s Scottish network, with four others committed to join in the coming months. The network now spans from Newton Stewart in Dumfries and Galloway to Thurso in the Highlands.

Further south, Rakesh Sharma from the Sharma Corporation has signed a contract for Brierley Service Station in Drybrook, Gloucestershire to join Jet’s network.

Jet has also agreed a retie deal with the country’s largest independent dealer MRH (GB) Ltd for 11 existing Jet branded sites and has also secured an additional MRH site in Grimsby. The sites span from York to London and will all be rebranded in Jet’s latest image throughout June and early July.

Graham Clout, group dealer manager at Jet, concluded: “At a time when fuel company disposals are playing a key role in influencing where group dealers place their supply contracts, we’re delighted to have secured this retie deal as part of our efforts to reach our target of 400 Jet branded sites in the UK.”
