The appointment follows the takeover of MRH which is number one in the Forecourt Trader Top 50 Indies by US private equity firm Lone Star last month.

Commenting on the appointment of Karen to succeed him, Graham said: I am delighted to be handing over my responsibilities to someone of the calibre of Karen, who brings to the MRH business a wealth of industry experience at the highest levels. Her appointment is a real statement of intent by Lone Star that the company is to continue its programme of dynamic growth in the future.
