McColl's adds to Gulf estate

11 May, 2016

McColl’s Retail Group is moving an additional forecourt over to its estate of Gulf-branded sites.

The group, which operates more than 1,350 UK convenience stores, has a portfolio of seven forecourts, five of which are Gulf-branded. A sixth, a 2.5mlpa forecourt in Norwich Road, Roughton, Norwich, will move from Murco to Gulf in September.

According to Nicola McKeown, retail national accounts manager, Certas Energy, the business model of McColl’s and Gulf is proving highly successful.

She said: “As a market leader, McColl’s knows just about everything there is to know about the convenience sector and how to get the very best from its stores. However, when it comes to petrol retailing it recognises the importance of utilising our expertise. It’s a partnership built on mutual respect, margin growth and proven results.

“One of the great things about working with the McColl’s Retail Group, is its willingness to reinvest. It is fully committed to provide local communities with a full range of amenities and neighbourhood services at competitive prices. The company never rests on its laurels.”
