Johnny Nelson, local boxer and former World Boxing Organisation Cruiserweight World Champion, helped Jet garage,

Bridgehouse Service Station on Renishaw Hill, Sheffield, celebrate the recent opening of its new c-store.

Along with service station owners Karon and Pete Swinden, and many local customers, Johnny marked the re-opening of the forecourt shop following extensive expansion, which quadrupled the shop size from 250 to 1,000 sq ft, and is now providing the local community with a much wider selection of essential products and services.

New offerings include a 'bake & bite' in-store bakery and an off licence. The site also has an MOT testing bay.

Karon said: "We are very excited about the new shop and facilities. With the large amount of passing trade we receive from motorists on the M1, we were often asked about services that we previously could not offer. Now we are fully equipped to provide a full range of general supplies."
