Cheshire Police are appealing for information following an armed robbery at a petrol station in Widnes.

The incident occurred at approximately 3.25am on Monday 6 July at the Esso Petrol Station on Moor Lane, Widnes.

During the incident a lone offender entered the premises via the main entrance brandishing a large knife. He then walked towards the counter and threatened two members of staff, demanding that they handed over money from the till. After receiving the money he then left the premises via the main entrance onto Moor Lane.

The offender is described as a white man, in his early twenties, of slim build and approximately 5ft 5 inches tall. At the time of the incident he was wearing a black North Face hooded jacket, with white branding, dark Adidas tracksuit bottoms and black shoes.
