Officers from Police Scotland in Aberdeenshire have appealed for witnesses following the attempted theft of an ATM at the Aboyne Filling Station, Deeside, Aberdeenshire.

The ATM was targeted at around 1:45am on Sunday 25 October 2015. The attempt was unsuccessful and the thieves fled the scene without any cash.

Detective inspector Richard Taylor said: “A dark blue Land Rover Defender vehicle was used in the commission of this crime and was then left at the scene. I would appeal for any members of the public who saw such a vehicle or suspicious persons during late Saturday night or the early hours of Sunday morning in the Deeside area to contact us.
