Top 50 Indie Sewell on the go has opened its second Subway with a third due to be operational next month.

The latest Subway at Chanterlands opened on September 7, alongside new indoor and outdoor seating areas in an overall £100,000 investment on the site.

The third Subway is planned to open at Sewell on the go Cottingham in October.

Patrick Sewell, managing director of Sewell on the go, said: “Subway offers more choice to the customer and adds extra value to the convenience offer we already provide in store.

“Subway at South Cave, which was the first to open within our stores, has brought in new customers and created a lively atmosphere.

“At Chanterlands, there is lots of parking and easy access, and it’s in a well-lit, 24-hour location.

“The opening has also coincided with new branding and imagery on site, which adds to the visual appeal.

“There are 14 seats inside, as well as an outdoor seating area, and 12 new positions for sandwich artists have been created.

“Staff from our South Cave site are helping with the launch of Subway at Chanterlands, sharing their knowledge and experience, which is part of the benefit of being a local company.”

Subway at Sewell on the go Chanterlands is open from 7am-10pm from Monday to Thursday, 7am to 12 midnight on Friday, 8am to 12 midnight on Saturday, and from 9am-10pm on Sunday.

When Subway opened at the newly refurbished £1.5 million Sewell on the go site in South Cave earlier this year, 1,500 sandwiches were sold in the first week and 10 new jobs were created.
