Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses after a forecourt worker suffered head injuries during an incident at a petrol station in Minster Lovell, Oxfordshire, on Sunday September 11.

At just after 6am a customer entered the shop at Texaco Park View Filling Station on Burford Road. He detained a member of staff in the shop and assaulted him. Police were called and the worker was freed.

The member of staff sustained head injuries during the assault and was taken to the John Radcliffe hospital for treatment.

A 31-year-old man from Witney was arrested at the scene on suspicion of GBH.

A scene watch was put in place at the petrol station while officers carried out their investigation.
