As part of the inititative, the brand is launching its #1MillionLaughs campaign, which is designed to get the nation laughing again by getting the public to share jokes across social media using the hashtag.
As well as donating £300,000 to the cause, PG tips will be introducing limited edition Red Nose Day packs, available to order now, which feature a joke inside to inspire consumers to take part.
The campaign will also include OOH support and social media activity with sponsored posts on Facebook and Twitter, alongside a dedicated Snapchat filter which will be available on Red Nose Day, March 24.
In a bid to raise more money and laughs for the campaign, PG tips is set to launch a ChatBot. This technology allows consumers to message Monkey directly, via @MostFamousMonkey on Facebook Messenger, during their tea breaks, and he will send them his best jokes. The ChatBot also enables users to donate through the app and ask any questions they may have about the charity.
