TLM Technologies has revealed the first details about its next-generation epos solution, Evolution. It is being specifically built for the fuel and convenience (F&C) sector, and is designed not only to deliver the commonplace functionality of traditional epos systems, but also advanced features that more closely align with modern retail trends in the sector.

Evolution will be officially launched in April 2018, although with development well under way, the first glimpse of the product will be showcased at the National Convenience Show in Birmingham on April 24-26.

Developed on a non-proprietary open platform, Evolution is designed with change in mind, and is being built to be modified quickly and readily adapt to new and emerging retail trends. Functionality including mobile pay, self-checkout and off-premise cloud-based deployment will all be available upon release. Lee Papper, CEO at TLM Technologies said: "Unlike epos systems F&C retailers have traditionally been used to, Evolution will be forever changing, keeping step with modern buyer behaviour, offering new customer experiences and making for a simple and reliable retail interface."
