A new apple flavour is being added to the Lucozade Energy range.According to consumer research, apple is the favourite flavour after orange.

The new variant comes in 380ml and 500ml bottles and a six-pack.

Lucy Colman, brand manager at GlaxoSmithKline, says: "Lucozade Energy has been exhibiting a very strong 9.5% year-on-year growth and the introduction of a new, popular flavour to the range is set to drive sales with current and new customers trying it."

Launch activity includes nationwide sampling and extensive in-store point-of-sale material.

GlaxoSmithKline is supporting the entire Lucozade Energy range with a £5.2m campaign between now and September.

Meanwhile, latest AC Nielsen data has revealed that Lucozade Sport has become the sixth best-selling brand in the convenience sector. It recorded year-on-year growth of nearly 40%.
