Garage Watch has joined the Federation of Petroleum Suppliers (FPS) in a bid to give its members extended benefits and services. Garage Watch boss Mark Bradshaw said it made sense after the help his organisation received from the FPS in its early days.

The British Oil Security Syndicate (BOSS) has launched a text alert service for its Forecourt Watch members in Sutton Coldfield and surrounding areas in the Midlands. The police-operated messaging system, called VC Relay, gives early warnings about criminal activity in the area.

Vandals caused £20,000-worth of damage after a car wash was set on fire and destroyed at a BP company-owned site in Edinburgh. Lothian and Borders Police believe a group of teenagers tried to set off a firework on the floor of the machine at around 7pm on November 7.
