A new directional sound system, available from Audionation, can help retailers to deliver audio messages to customers, without annoying staff, says company director, Mark Webster.

The H-450 speaker can pinpoint sound to specific zones in a store or forecourt, minimising unwanted noise pollution elsewhere. "When several different audio contents are playing or looping messages are near staff, traditional speakers can make the environment a very frustrating place to be," says Webster.

The speaker is described as small and lightweight, and audio sources can be plugged into it from any player equipped with a line out. It costs £484.
