United Biscuits is launching Multigrain Hula Hoops - made from a combination of rice flour, maize flour and wheat bran. The company says they are the ideal snack for hungry consumers looking for a healthier alternative. Two flavours - cheese & onion and salt & vinegar - are available in the handypack size (rrp 30p). Also available are two multipacks containing other flavours including prawn cocktail, pickled onion and saucy BBQ. Rrp is £1.05. Launch is supported by a £1.5m campaign including TV advertising and a targeted mail drop to three million households. According to AC Nielsen figures, Hula Hoops is the fastest-growing brand in the bagged snacks market, with sales up 14% in the 16 weeks ending March 24, 2007. 020 8234 5000 |
