Wild Bean Café has given its food and drink a major facelift to tempt shoppers with cheaper and more healthy fare.

The BP Connect concept has redesigned coffee cups and packaging and put a new focus on healthy eating. Sandwich ranges now have front-of-pack nutritional sign-posting to help shoppers make more informed choices.

New additions to the drinks range includes 100% iced fruit smoothies, while there is a new melon medly and yogurt & granola pot. Wild Bean Café's new premium salad range includes tuna nicose and blue cheese & pear.

"Gone are the days when petrol station food was stodgy and unappetising," said BP Retail trading director Andy Davies. "Today, with more and more people suffering time pressures while wanting a healthy balanced diet, they want qualty food on the road as well as at home."

Wild Bean Café has also introduced a new premium range of wholesome sandwiches, such as Davidstow Cheddar ploughmans and smoked mackerel salad, as well as reviewing and improving the core range.
