The name Garage Watch will now disappear, as the trade association set up during the fuel crisis of 2000 to safeguard the interests of rural retailers becomes fully integrated into the Federation of Petroleum Suppliers. From August 1, it will become known as the FPS Forecourt Division. Mark Bradshaw, founder of the organisation, who still plays a key role, said: "Obviously I'm sad to see the name go, but the organisation has moved on and it was felt that the new name was more appropriate to its role today.However, the name Garage Watch Value remains for buying group activities".
