Get ready for a trip down memory lane - Wispa is being relaunched.

Cadbury Trebor Bassett (CTB) is putting the iconic chocolate bar back on shelves after pleas from fans. Interest in the brand is at its highest for years, with networking sites like MySpace and Facebook having 'Bring Back Wispa' groups.

The limited-edition Wispa will be on shelves from October 8 and is available only while stocks last.

CTB hopes the relaunch will bring back childhood memories for its target audience of 20-35-year-olds who grew up in the 1980s - Wispa's heyday.

It will be supported by an outdoor poster campaign, website and PR activity.

Kate Harding, CTB's acting head of customer relations, says: "We have produced one run of around 23 million bars and we're confident the marketing campaign will generate a lot of buzz and ensure shoppers will be looking to grab a bar when they hit shelves."
