Heinz is extending its Aunt Bessie's range with the introduction of extra crispy roast potatoes and crinkle cut chips.

The launch is part of the company's ongoing commitment to invest in its Aunt Bessie's and Weight Watchers from Heinz brands in order to drive the frozen category forward.

Next year will see Heinz invest a further £5m in even more consumer research, leading innovation and advertising.

"The Aunt Bessie's brand is a major player in the frozen potato market and this is due to Heinz's continued commitment to consumer and category research," comments Amanda Walker, marketing director, Heinz Frozen UK.

"Extra crispy roast potatoes have already been successfully launched in the US where they delivered 50% incremental sales to the frozen potato category."

Aunt Bessie's crinkle cut chips have a rrp of £1.69 (907g) and Aunt Bessie's extra crispy roast potatoes have a rrp of £1.69 (800g).
