Top 50 independent group Gardner Garages has bought the BP Westacre Service Station in Wilton Road, Salisbury, Wiltshire from Triple Eight Ltd for £1.825 million. Current volume is 5.5mlpa with shop sales in the 2,500 sq ft Spar shop of £1m-plus, according to Gardner Garages chairman Clive Gardner, who has sold his Texaco site -Bathway Services in Beckington, Somerset - to Flying Visit Ltd. Gardner said the Westacre site had massive scope for increasing sales, and he would be installing his trademark palm trees and introducing 24-hour opening.
