Pepsico has launched Tropicana into the smoothie market.

The pure fruit products aim to capitalise on the fast-growing smoothie sector, which according to Tropicana is currently the second-biggest segment in the chilled category - worth £210m and growing at 30% year-on-year.

The smoothies come in five flavours: strawberry & banana; mango, passionfruit & pineapple; blackberry & blueberry; raspberry & pomegranate; and apple, pear & cranberry. Pepsico is backing the launch with a £5m spend.

Rrp is £1.79 for a 250ml size and £2.99 for a 1ltr carton.
