Walkers is introducing Smoky Bacon flavour to its Big Eat range of crisps. The company says Smoky Bacon is its fifth best-selling standard bag flavour in impulse, worth £5m and growing at 20%. The Big Eat range, which has seven other flavours already on the market, is worth £27.7m and is growing at 6.1%. According to Walkers, the new flavour will enhance the current range in the major distribution channels - including forecourts - by targeting the young male adult market. David Biggs, Walkers impulse director, says: "Smoky Bacon is already a popular flavour within the Walkers standard bag range and growing at 20%. By introducing the variant to the Big Eat range, Walkers will help retailers capitalise on further sales opportunities within the impulse channels." 0118 9306666 |
