Peter Oakford of Chevron (best known for its Texaco brand) is the new chairman of BOSS, the British Oil Security Syndicate, taking over the role from Total’s Peter Mellins who now becomes the vice-chairman. Oakford is manager of sales for the Texaco brand in the UK and brings to his new role as

 

BOSS chairman more than 20 years of oil industry experience. During his career at Chevron, Peter has worked in locations including London, New York, The Canary Islands, Warsaw and Madrid.

He is married with three children. Kevin Eastwood, executive director of BOSS, says: “Successful BOSS Forecourt Watch schemes rely on strong relationships with our oil company members and this new appointment reinforces those relationships.

"I’d like to take this opportunity not only to welcome Peter as our new chairman, but to thank our outgoing chairman, Peter Mellins, for his significant contribution to the development of BOSS.”
