Independent forecourt chain Fuelforce has decided to move to a direct managed mode of operation.

The retailer trialled direct management at test sites last Summer before putting the rollout into motion.

It began to convert 18 sites in Scotland at the beginning of February this year, and full rollout starts this month to finish in January next year.

Fuelforce has plumped for direct management to focus on its business

objectives of improving shop and car wash sales.

“There will be no diversions from regular retailer changes under the current mode of operation,” said Fuelforce’s marketing director Paul Bearman.

“It will allow stricter adherence to company processes and site operating procedures, it will reduce operating costs, improve standards and give greater customer satisfaction through better availability.”

The move means that each site will have one manager, unless the geography of sites dictates otherwise.
