Costcutter’s new convenience store design, which is also available to forecourts, has been officially unveiled in Guiseley, West Yorkshire.

The group unveiled its plans for the revised stores at its 25th Anniversary event last year, with the company-owned store in Guiseley being the first to receive the new treatment. A second store in the new format also officially opens next week in Mansfield.

The new store is an evolution of the Costcutter brand with a simplified fascia showcasing a cleaner and fresher feel, coupled with new innovations throughout the store.

The refreshed Costcutter fascia and in-store designs form part of Costcutter Supermarkets Group’s three fascia convenience retail strategy, which sees the newly opened Kwiksave store and the forthcoming myCostcutter premium offering complete a suite of market leading retail propositions.

Ian Bishop, Costcutter Supermarkets Group’s marketing director, said: “The Costcutter brand has over 25 years of heritage and stands for fresh, local value. The new look format retains the brand DNA that has seen Costcutter become one of the most respected convenience retail businesses, whilst creating a new look and feel that ensures we deliver a high quality store environment for retailers and customers.”

He added: “Costcutter is proud to be local and one of the innovations on the new fascia is the provision for retailers to display an individual customer promise. This gives a truly local feel to the store and shows the great pride our retailers have in their store.”

The unveiling of the new look Costcutter swiftly follows the launch of the first Kwiksave store in Bolton earlier this month, with the first premium myCostcutter store opening in June.
