Morrisons has made its fourth national cut in fuel prices since the Eurozone crisis started as oil prices continue to decline.

The reduction came into force on Wednesday and will be 2ppl off unleaded and diesel at Morrisons’ 300 petrol stations across the UK.

Mark Todd, petrol director for Morrisons, said: “The continued bad news in financial markets is good news for motorists.

“After seeing continued reductions in the price of oil we are taking the opportunity to bring down prices at the petrol pump.”

The AA last week said that despite last Thursday’s price decreases, and with the national average prices of petrol at £1.39ppl and diesel at £1.45 prices should fall further.
