A driver, who suddenly found that his car was on fire, drove it onto a forecourt. According to the Medway Messenger, the man drove the Renault on to the Co-op forecourt on the A2 in Strood, Kent on Sunday night.

As he drove in, smoke was coming out of the car but within moments flames had taken hold. Amazingly, other drivers still went to the pumps to fill up.

It took an hour to put out the fire and complete safety checks at the petrol station. No-one was injured in the incident.
