Greenergy has won the contract to supply retail fuels for three sites owned by the motorway services operator Westmorland.
The supply agreement with the family owned company covers three sites in Cumbria: Tebay Services North and South on the M6; the Rheged Visitor and Conference Centre just off the A66 near Penrith; and Junction 38 Services just off the M6 at Tebay.
Tebay Services and the Rheged Centre are both moving to the Esso brand, while at Junction 38 Services the family is moving to an own brand formula. The three sites were all previously Total branded and Certas supplied.
Westmorland managing director Laurence King said: “We were attracted to Greenergy because of the competitive pricing, flexible brand offering and hassle free approach. It’s still early days in our relationship, so far they have made a very good first impression.”
Paul Wilson, Greenergy territory manager, said: “Winning the contract to supply fuel to Westmorland in Cumbria demonstrates the competitive and flexible nature of the Greenergy offer. The Westmorland family have worked with us to select the best brand to suit each site, deciding on a major oil brand – Esso with Tesco loyalty points – to draw in transient customers on the M6 and Rheged, and developing their own brand for the Junction 38 Services.”
Westmorland recently opened the first phase of new services on the M5 between junctions 11a and 12 at Brookthorpe in Gloucestershire which are covered by a separate supply deal with Valero.
The northbound services opened last month and work on the southbound services is expected to be completed in June 2015.
