A new dog washing unit, which the distributors believe is ideally suited to the forecourt sector, has been introduced into the UK from the US.
Macs DIY Dog Wash is the European distributor for the self-service dog washing units, and a spokeswoman said: "The concept is popular in America and Australia and from the initial interest hopefully will be so in Europe."
The self service unit enables dog owners to wash and dry their pet in less than 10 minutes with prices starting from £5. The unit can process credit cards, cash or tokens.
The retailer can select their own colours and logo for the unit, and all that is required is water (which it self heats), electricity and drainage. The units can be positioned indoors or outside.
