A gang of up to six people armed with baseball bats left a 30-year-old man with serious injuries after attacking him on a site in Telford, according to a report in the Shropshire Star.

The report says the victim and his 33-year-old friend got into an argument with between four and six men next to the car wash in Holyhead Road, Ketley.

The men attacked the victims with what could have been a baseball bat, and damaged the victim’s car by smashing the two rear passenger windows, before getting back into their vehicle and escaping towards Wellington.

The attack happened at around 5.15pm on Saturday and anyone with information is urged to contact Constable Osborn on the non-emergency 101 number, quoting incident 0529 of October 11.
