Masterfoods aims to drive sales of Maltesers by giving retailers the chance to win a new Smart car. The prize draw is running at more than 150 cash and carry outlets nationwide from now until October.

The Maltesers 146g box is a big seller in convenience outlets. The brand’s gift range also sells well, particularly the Maltesers and White Maltesers buckets, which both retail at £3.99.

Maltesers is backed by an £11m campaign in 2005 including £3m during the Christmas period.
