A five-strong gang travelling in a white van, who broke into a Dover petrol station and stole cash and other items including food and cigarettes, are being sought by police.

Between midnight and 1am on Monday, January 19, the vehicle stopped at the Shell garage in Guston and the five broke into the premises which had closed for the night,

Once inside they stole a safe containing a quantity of money as well as items from inside the shop including food and cigarettes. They then left the scene in the van.

Kent Police is now appealing for witnesses to come forward following the burglary.

Officers investigating the burglary are keen to hear from anyone who may have information about the offence.

They would particularly like to hear from anyone who may have been in the Guston area or who may have seen a white van at the time.
