The UK tobacco market continues to show resilience in the face of increasing pressures – with £1.35m being spent on cigarettes at forecourts.

According to Imperial Tobacco’s latest category overview, premium priced cigarettes remain the most popular choice on the forecourt, however lower priced brands have increased their share of sales as part of a wider down-trading dynamic in the face of government duty increases.

Packs of 20 still account for the vast majority of forecourt sales.
