Wilcomatic Vitesse cuts wash time

28 August, 2015

During busy periods, keeping queues to a minimum at a forecourt’s automatic car wash helps prevent potential customers driving off without using the facility, so Wilcomatic has introduced the Christ Genius Vitesse high-pressure pre-wash system, which cuts the wash time by 20%.

The Xtra Foam pre-wash and 50-bar high-pressure wash are carried out during the brush wash, effectively reducing the number of passes and the time taken for the wash cycle with no loss in quality. The Xtra Foam and the oscillating high pressure jets help to thoroughly clean the sides, roof and all surfaces.

The system is suitable for all sites with a washing volume of 400-1,500 washes per month and is designed for forecourts, dealerships, fleet services and car hire companies.

Wilcomatic managing director Kevin Pay said: “Further reducing washing speed is one of the requests we most commonly get from potential customers. If there is already a car in the wash bay and one queueing, other car owners will not usually wait around and the sale may be lost.

“What the Vitesse achieves best is a fast, high quality wash and a fantastic sense of theatre that will keep your customers coming back time and time again.

“For busy forecourt retailers, dealerships, fleets and car hire companies time is money and there is always pressure to turn clean vehicles around as quickly as possible.

“We make every effort to speed up the process without losing wash quality. This is the latest development we have worked on with Christ.”

When a major car manufacturer like Ford predicts that sales of its electrified cars will outnumber petrol and diesel models by 2022, does that ring alarm bells about the possible speed of change for forecourts?
