Attempted theft of ATM fails

Officers from Police Scotland in Aberdeenshire have appealed for witnesses following the attempted theft of an ATM at the Aboyne Filling Station, Deeside, Aberdeenshire.

The ATM was targeted at around 1:45am on Sunday 25 October 2015. The attempt was unsuccessful and the thieves fled the scene without any cash.

Detective inspector Richard Taylor said: A dark blue Land Rover Defender vehicle was used in the commission of this crime and was then left at the scene. I would appeal for any members of the public who saw such a vehicle or suspicious persons during late Saturday night or the early hours of Sunday morning in the Deeside area to contact us.
