Istobal wins major deal with MRH

MRH, number one in Forecourt Trader’s Top 50 Indies, has signed a deal to buy more than 630 air and vac units from Istobal together with a five-year service and maintenance agreement.

Istobal key account manager Tom Byrne described it as “the most significant order in the forecourt valeting sector this year” and said it followed on from other big business wins from MRH and the number two Top 50 Indie MFG.

He added: “MRH has moved away from rental or revenue share because they have proved they can produce a 30% revenue increase by buying air and vac units.”

The deal follows on from a three-year service agreement for car wash, jet wash and vac signed with MFG earlier this year, and a three-year car wash supply deal with MRH which is just entering its second year.

Byrne said Istobal was also talking to the other two largest Top 50 Indies, Euro Garages and Rontec, about servicing Istobal equipment they had acquired as part of their purchases of sites from Esso and Shell.

He added: “This has been a fantastic year for Istobal UK, both for equipment supply through the factory, and the service Istobal has provided for the industry. We believe our service is the best on the market, and the major independents putting their faith in these agreements are backing that up.”
