product news: Spar refreshes sharing snacks range

04 March, 2016

Spar Brand has refreshed its range of sharing snacks in time for summer.

A new Chicken Bites sharing tub has been introduced to the range, while all products have been redesigned with bright new packaging. The new Chicken Bites addition will replace the Mini Pork Pies.

This four-strong range now comprises: Spar Brand Mini Chicken Bites 18s, Mini Sausage Rolls 12s, Mini Savoury Eggs 18s and Pork Cocktail Sausages 20s.

There will also be a permanent ‘two for £3’ offer across the sharing range, with price flashes on packs to communicate the deal.

Spar has also redesigned its Daily Deli snack bags with brighter colours, to give them more stand-out on shelf.

The Daily Deli Twin Pork Pie has also been changed to a Melton Mowbray Pork Pie, price marked at £1, giving the product more identity and clear provenance.

Susan Darbyshire, Spar UK brand director, said: “Our Spar Brand sharing snack products are perfect for picnics, parties and family days out this summer, which is reflected in their bright and fun new style.

“With consumer demand for protein snacks on the rise, our revamped ranges will meet customer needs for great tasting snacks at excellent value for money.

“We are also confident that the refreshed products in the Daily Deli range will target food-to-go customers as they continue to demand quick, convenient and tasty snacks,” she said.

Products will be in-store from 31 March.
