product news: Tangerine re-launches three chews

14 October, 2016

Tangerine Confectionery has re-launched its Wham, Fruit Salad and Black Jack chews.

Changes to the recipes mean that each chew has more of the taste that has made them a favourite for many decades among sweet lovers. Wham has been made more tongue-tingling with extra sour crystals; Fruit Salad has seen a return to the block colours of its pineapple and raspberry flavours; and Black Jack sees a return to the tongue-blackening colour.

In addition, Wham and Fruit Salad chews now use real fruit juice in their recipes.

To highlight the changes, the packaging for Wham, Fruit Salad and Black Jack has been refreshed, using new designs with a retro feel.

Adrian Hipkiss, head of marketing at Tangerine Confectionery, said: “This re-launch is about bringing our best-loved and iconic retro chews back to best, with the taste and packaging that people will remember, plus the benefit of added fruit juice.

“What better way to bring old-time favourites back together than to return Black Jack and Fruit Salad to its original packaging and tapping into current retro trends.”
