Forecourt Trader - 30 years at the heart of the fuel retailing community

MP visits HKS forecourt

21 October, 2016

MP for Sherwood Mark Spencer has visited a Londis convenience store and forecourt in his constituency operated by Top 50 Indie HKS Retail.

Cyrus Kasraie, manager of the Rainworth store, detailed the changes the store has made to meet the needs of customers and the regulatory issues faced by the business. The store has recently installed an ATM to build on its service offer and provide access to cash for the local community.

He said: “It was fantastic to have the opportunity to speak to our local MP and voice the issues and concerns of the business regarding legislative changes for the age-restricted products we sell and the soft drinks levy. We were also able to give our MP an insight into the exciting future we have planned for HKS and the store and what we hope to offer consumers in the near future.”

Spencer said: “I was delighted to meet the staff at the HKS petrol station in Rainworth. It was great to see how they have adapted their business in order to meet the challenges faced by the industry, and I was filled with confidence that small convenience stores can thrive despite competition from larger retailers in the area.”
