product news: Lucozade Energy issues wholesale exclusives
Published:  17 March, 2017

Lucozade Energy is launching two flavours, Blackcurrant Bliss and Pineapple Punch, exclusive to wholesale.

Available from the March 27, both flavours come in 380ml £1 price-marked packs.

Mark Sterratt, head of market, strategy and planning at Lucozade Ribena Suntory, said: “We know how important our brand is for the wholesale route to market, which is why we’re offering these flavours exclusively. They give a real point of difference from the multiples and are absolutely must-stock products for any retailer looking to boost sales this summer and beyond.

“The launch couldn’t be more timely too, with the warmer months just around the corner. This is a core selling period for soft drinks and provides a big opportunity for retailers - with the demand for impulsive chilled drink purchases at its highest between April and August.”

To support the launch and disrupt shoppers instore, Lucozade Energy has created a range of POS materials available to order from April.

“As category leaders, we’re constantly innovating to support retailers and stay one step ahead of the consumer. We anticipate both flavours will become best-sellers, so we’re excited to hear retailers’ feedback on the range extension,” added Sterratt.

Following a deal agreed with Harvest Energy, do you think it will be good to see the Total brand returning to UK forecourts?
