product news: Ginsters launches two new sandwiches

John Wood ·

Ginsters is launching two new limited edition sandwiches - Hunters Chicken and Ham Hock & Piccalilli - which will be joining the range throughout the summer from Wednesday July 26.

They will have a recommended retail price of £3.00 and will be available across convenience, impulse and travel.

The sandwiches are inspired by “American and Modern British cuisines” which are becoming an increasingly popular choice within the category and influencing food trends.

Brand manager Chris Parkinson said: “Consumers are looking for variety particularly for food to go options at lunchtime, with new or premium flavours providing strong appeal. Pulled meats and BBQ flavours reflect the latest food trends and are very popular with shoppers.”

The Hunters Chicken sandwich is made with British roast chicken breast, crispy Sweetcure smoked flavoured bacon and Westcountry farmhouse mature Cheddar cheese with BBQ sauce, on malted grain bread. The Ham Hock & Piccalilli sandwich is made with British shredded ham hock with piccalilli, seasoned mayonnaise and fresh mixed leaves, on white bread.
