Product news: Boost profits with Aryzta's festive range

Merril Boulton ·

Aryzta Food Solutions is giving forecourt retailers the chance to unwrap extra profits over the festive season with the launch of its Christmas sweet bakery and hot food-to-go range.

The in-store bakery specialist is launching a nine-strong seasonal range of sweet and savoury products, enabling retailers to meet shopper demand for great-tasting treats that provide a dash of festive indulgence.

Vincent Brook, head of retail UK at Aryzta Food Solutions, says: “The run-up to Christmas provides a major opportunity for retailers to maximise their in-store bakery and food-to-go profits.

“Bakery is already one of the top-performing sectors in convenience. Combine this with the fact that food-to-go shoppers spend 10% more than the average c-store shopper, and 42% cite hot food as a reason to return, we’re enabling retailers to use our high- margin products to capitalise on the festive feel-good factor at a time when shoppers want to indulge.”

The festive line-up includes Cuisine de France-branded Cranberry Torsades (90g, rrp £1.00) and Brandy Mince Puffs (80g, rrp £1.25), along with festive sausage rolls (140g, rrp £1.25) and festive slices (turkey, pork sausage, bacon and cranberry in a creamy gravy, 160g, RRP £1.50).

The sweet bakery range also includes Triple Chocolate Christmas Muffins (110g, RRP £1.00); Linzer Biscuits (shortbread filled with raspberry jam and dusted with sugar – 75g, RRP £1.00); Gingerbread Reindeers (60g, RRP 85p); Christmas Donuts (55g, RRP £1.00) and Luxury Mince Crowns (68g, £1.50).

Brook concludes: “Retailers who want to increase their Christmas profits should seriously consider in-store bakery and freshly cooked food-to-go. Shopper demand is high and Aryzta Food Solutions offers a unique bakery solution, providing consumers with the choice, quality and indulgence they’re looking for over the festive season.”
