Car Wash UK is taking over Ryko UK’s car wash installation, servicing and maintenance business, leaving Ryko to focus on the sale of car washes.
It will be servicing Ryko’s existing 45 car washes on independent forecourts directly and the Tesco network as a sub-contractor for Ryko. There are currently around 140 Ryko car washes in the Tesco network.Craig Nugent, managing director for Ryko, said: “Rather than being a small service organisation, we have attached ourselves to one of the largest servicing companies in the UK and Ryko UK will focus on sales and marketing of car washes. It gives our customers more coverage because we only have 15 engineers as Ryko. The perception is the more engineers you have, the better the response times, and we’ll be able to access more remote areas.”The deal increases Car Wash UK’s service business by 20%. Managing director Mike Ambrose (pictured right) said: “For us it’s great because the more car washes Ryko sells, the more we get to install, service and maintain. We continue to sell Ceccato machines but the main part of our business is servicing.” 0870 777 6395
