John Wood ·

Retail Technology company CBE Software has been awarded EMEA Retail Partner of the Year from NCR the manufacturer of self-service checkouts.

Competing against all of NCR channel partners in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, CBE achieved the highest sales of all of the partners.

A delegation from CBE was invited to the NCR Global conference awards in Spain to receive the prestigious award.

Sean Kenna, CEO of CBE, stated: “We are delighted to receive this award and I wish to recognise the dedication and talent of our staff in the UK and Ireland for making this possible.

“It is now accepted that self checkout is part of the shopping experience and we plan to expand this experience to many other retail markets including convenience and forecourts as well as the usual supermarkets”.

Stefano Dal Chiele, retail and hospitality channel leader with NCR, said: “CBE with their partnership with NCR has managed to consistently outsell other competitors, and this is a testament to their innovative software, quality of their support and their ambition to be number one in their field.

“CBE’s continuous software development programme adds more functionality and customisation to the self checkout units for both customers and store owners, and this is illustrated by their high usage from day one of implementation.”
