JTI augments capsule offer with two new products

John Wood ·

Tobacco company JTI is strengthening its capsule offering with the launch of two new products: Sterling Dual Triple Green and Benson & Hedges Blue Dual Double Capsule.

Sterling Dual Triple Green is described by JTI as the first triple menthol cigarette in the UK tobacco market.

The mentholated cigarette has two capsules, one peppermint and one spearmint.

Similarly, the new B&H Blue Dual Double Capsule will bring a more intense flavour option to the brand.

JTI says it will be the UK’s lowest priced double capsule offering, and will help retailers tap into the growing value segment.

Ross Hennessy, head of sales at JTI UK, commented: “Considering the success of JTI’s capsule product releases in 2018, we’re excited to build on this with the introduction of two new cutting-edge innovations into the leading Sterling Dual and B&H brand portfolios.

“We’ve seen the capsule segment grow significantly in recent years and expect this to continue into 2019, alongside the increasingly popular value segment. These two new launches will help retailers take advantage of these profit opportunities and we will continue to invest in introducing new, innovative products to the market to bolster sales in the tobacco category.”

Sterling Dual Triple Green and B&H Blue Dual Double Capsule are available now at a recommended retail price of £9.35 and £8.35 respectively.
