Important mat-ters

Gripfit is offering retailers a fixed-frame mat which it claims is an easier and cheaper alternative to traditional entrance mats.
Instead of the loosely-fitted matting placed into floor recesses, businesses can now fill in the well and replace the mat with a fixed-frame mat. A low-profile frame is fitted onto the surface and this holds the moisture-retaining mat, which is then easy to remove and clean. Gripfit says this is often more cost-efficient than having to repair, replace and re-dig an existing mat well. The frame also ensures that premises can be accessed easily by trolleys, buggies and wheelchairs.08700 208869

When a major car manufacturer like Ford predicts that sales of its electrified cars will outnumber petrol and diesel models by 2022, does that ring alarm bells about the possible speed of change for forecourts?
