Forecourt Trader - 30 years at the heart of the fuel retailing community
A safe and sound solution
Published:  06 November, 2007

Retailers can cut noise pollution at forecourts with a solution from Environ Technologies.

The acoustic enclosure specialist provides units to shield machinery via its Modula system.

The company's solution was recently used at a site in Marple, Cheshire, where air conditioning units and a fan were proposed for the rear of a Somerfield/Texaco store.

As these were to be within 5m of residential properties, each unit was housed in a Modula system. This helped get rid of potential noise pollution and also with the successful planning application.

The Modula enclosures can be tailored to fit specific applications and used at sites which are short on space.
