Refrigeration company ISA (UK) is launching a chilled multi-deck cabinet range featuring new technology which it says offers big energy savings.

According to the company, its In-Touch technology can offer 35-40% energy savings over existing designs.

Its patent-pending 'In-Touch' technology incorporates an automatic, transparent shutter system. As a customer approaches the cabinet, a sensor allows the shutters in that section to open automatically, stay open while a product is selected, and then close after the person has gone.

The design has been shortlisted as a Finalist for the Environmental Product of the Year (Refrigeration) in the Cooling Industry Awards 2009.
