SATO UK has launched a new tag printer, the DR3, to cater for what it says is the retail market's increasing need for more visible and flexible price marking and in-store promotions.

The printer can be used for all types of product tickets and tags, including price labels and shelf-edge labels.

The company says the DR3's most significant feature is its standalone printing capabilities variable data can be put in using a new SATO keypad so the printer doesn't need to be connected to a PC or host system. It is designed for easy configuration without using a host PC but can also be operated in online mode while connected to one, for example, for monitoring and remote printer management.
