Spar has been recommended as the symbol group supplier of choice for independent Esso dealers.
The decision by Esso’s dealer division and Spar was announced at ameeting at the Bridgend Garage in Auchinleck , Scotland, owned by Jean Allardyce, which has a successful Spar store.Spar already supplies 36 independent Esso dealer sites in the UK and is looking to secure many more.Spar retail director Steve Blackmore said: “Spar has proven experience of 400 forecourts in the UK and Northern Ireland and offers a total retail solution tailored to meet individual retailers needs and budgets. Our current agreements with Esso dealers across the UK have demonstrated that the two brands, Esso and Spar, share similar aspirations and ambitions, including the desire to be the best, most modern and convenient, local retailers. But of course it is the bottom line which matters, and many of those Esso dealers who already operate Spar stores are demonstrating very considerable sales increases in what is undeniably the most competitive marketplace for many years.“Now having been recommended as Esso’s symbol group supplier of choice, we hope to expand our relationship partnership even further across the network of independent Esso dealers.”
