Spar and Red Bull take over streets and skies of Cardiff

01 September, 2011

Spar is gearing up to support world-reigning motorsport champions and their vehicles as they take over Cardiff for Red Bull’s Speed Jam event.

The motorsports spectacular, taking place for three hours on September 3, will see Spar’s logo emblazoned across the Red Bull Formula One car, as spectators have the chance to get closer than ever before to some of the world’s best sports properties.

There will also be a 20m banner featuring the Spar logo at the Speed Jam event, and Spar branding will be visible on all promotional material.

The audience will witness a stunning visual display, led by the reigning Formula 1 world champions Red Bull Racing, the amazing aerial acrobats of the Red Bull Matadors and a special motorbike display from world renowned stunt rider Chris Pfeiffer.

To support the event, Spar and Capper-owned stores in and around the Welsh capital will be taking place in a Red Bull promotion to maximise sales.

In the run up to Speed Jam, Capper & Co is offering pairs of tickets to retailers in the Cardiff area so they can offer consumers the chance to experience the spectacle for free, in a promotion linked to Red Bull.

Capital Radio will be directing people who want to obtain tickets for Speed Jam live. Four SPAR stores will have special Red Bull chiller displays and tickets to giveaway from the Red Bull teams for the event itself.

A variety of promotional material including posters, shelf edge barkers, and aisle stops will be available to retailers to help make the most of the partnership.

Red Bull’s motorsports sponsorship has generated a total of 3.6 billion opportunities ‘to see’ since the start of 2010.
